As dawn breaks over the peaks on the horizon, Laloba Ranch located in a peaceful secluded valley near Steamboat Springs, Colorado comes to life under the crystal blue of a Rocky Mountain sky. The Laloba Hounds can be found out on a free romp for their morning expedition around the ranch....up and down hills, along the trails, and on a hot summer day, in and out of the inviting ponds.

Winter romps inevitably end up luxuriating in front of the cozy fire in their ranch house.

And so the day begins for people and hounds. After accompanying their people on morning chores to feed the horses, fix fence (elk enter at your own risk!), check on visitors, the day is theirs to peruse their kingdom from the front porch and deck of their home.

Laloba Ranch is a small ranch dedicated to its creatures, particularly the hounds, and to the world of art and artists (the real "job") of its proprietors. However, all is done under the watchful auspices of the hounds who keep close watch on all that transpires at the ranch.

Visitors marvel at the hounds and their athleticism. They are everything they are supposed to be, a galloping sight hound with the legendary strength and stamina of the breed also known for amazing gentleness of spirit. They are the kind guardian at our gates. They are our chosen guides through life.
